Proceedings of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
Proceedings of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine was founded in 1997. Journal is issued by Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine. Proceedings of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine focuses on research papers in actual problems of mathematics, mechanics, cybernetics in following basic directions: partial differential equations and operator theory, function theory, probability theory and mathematical statistics, analytical mechanics, rigid body dynamics, control and stability theory, mechanics of solid medium, automaton theory, technical diagnostics of discrete systems, processes of control. Proceedings of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine is a peer-reviewed journal that supports the policy of open access to scientific publications. The journal is published twice a year. Articles in Ukrainian and English are accepted for review. The main purpose of the journal is to publish the results of scientific researches of domestic and foreign scientists in the field of fundamental and applied mathematics, highlighting the most relevant, perspective and interesting directions of research, promoting research at modern levels, improving the availability of exchange of accumulated knowledge and professional experience among researchers from different regions and countries. The major objectives of the journal are: development of theoretical studies on fundamental and applied mathematics in Ukraine, scientific testing and dissemination of their results; integration of scientific research through interdisciplinary dialogue; popularization of modern mathematical knowledge. The target audience of the journal includes the domestic and foreign experts in the field of fundamental and applied mathematics; scientific researchers from research institutes, university academics; doctoral students, post-graduates and students of Ukrainian and foreign universities and scientific institutions. Open Access Policy This journal is practicing a policy of immediate open access to published content, supporting the principles of the free flow of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge to the general social progress. Peer review Peer Review Process Publication policies Publishing an article in the Proceedings of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine the authors confirm, that: Grounds for refusal to review the article Publication Ethics The publication ethics of the journal supports the principles of ethics of the editor and the publisher, the reviewer, author of the scientific publication, which were developed by the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) and can be found in “Codes of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”. Information from the submitted manuscripts remains confidential and is not used for personal gain. The editorial does not publish a manuscript if there is reason to believe that it is a plagiarized one. The editorial board does not leave unanswered claims related to reviewed manuscripts or published materials, and when a conflict occurs, it takes all necessary measures to restore the infringed rights. Principles of Reviewer Ethics A manuscript received for review is treated as a confidential document that can not be communicated to a third party who is not authorized by the editorial board for review or discussion. The reviewer gives an objective and reasoned assessment of the results of the study. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable. Unpublished data obtained from submitted manuscripts is not used by a reviewer for personal purposes. A reviewer who is not, in his opinion, qualified to assess the manuscript, or can not be objective, for example in the case of a conflict of interest with the author or organization must inform the editorial and ask it to be excluded from the review process of this manuscript. Principles of Ethics of Scientific Publication Author The author(s) of the article must provide reliable results of the research. Consistent submission of false or fraudulent data is unacceptable. The author must ensure that the results of the study, set forth in the manuscript submitted, are completely original. The borrowed data must be given with the obligatory indication of the author and the original source. Excessive borrowings, as well as plagiarism in any form, including nonformalized citations, rephrasing or appropriation of rights to the results of the research of others, are unethical and unacceptable. The contribution of all persons who have influenced the study process in one way or another should be acknowledged, in particular, reference should be made to the works that were relevant to the research. The authors should not submit for publishing a manuscript that has previously been submitted to another edition and is currently under consideration, as well as an article already published in another edition. The co-authors of the article should include all persons who have made a significant contribution to the research. Among co-authors it is unacceptable to indicate persons who did not participate in the study. If the author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the article at the stage of its consideration or after its publication, he should as soon as possible inform the editorial staff. Conflict of Interests Policy Reviewers should not be involved in the review work, if there is a conflict of interests. If there are any conflicts of interests (financial, academic, personal, etc.) reviewers should inform the editorial board about that. Reviewers, editors and members of the editorial board of the journal should take into account any conflicts of interests while performing their functions during the review and publication of the article and in a timely manner inform the editor about all relationships, which may be considered as a potential conflict of interests. The editorial staff in their own development without the written consent of the author cannot use unpublished materials available in the submitted work. Plagiarism policy Proceedings of Institute of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics of NAS of Ukraine are committed to publishing only original material, i.e., material that has neither been published elsewhere, nor is under review elsewhere. Manuscripts with the revealed plagiarism or text borrowing without reference to the original source are rejected by the editorial board without publication in the journal. Editorial stuff will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript – before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author(s), asking her or him to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If plagiarism is detected after publication, the Journal will conduct an investigation. If plagiarism is found, the journal editorial office will contact the author. The paper containing the plagiarism will be marked on each page of the PDF. Depending on the extent of the plagiarism, the paper may also be formally retracted.
